My postcard is full color on only one side. Do I get a discount?
Our pricing structure is based on full color printing on both sides because all of our presses print that way. What you will notice is that even though we print full color on both sides we are usually less expensive than printers that offer a second side in b&w only.
Will I always receive exactly the quantity I order?
We will always deliver MORE than the quantity you order.
What if I only want 250 pieces?
We offer short runs as little as 250 pieces. What a deal: printing, addressing, postage and in the mail for only .47¢ per/4x6 card.
Can I split my order into multiple lots?
Jobs are priced by lot, so if you have 2 lots of 2500 cards, getting 1 lot of 5000 cards is not correct. You would have to order 2 jobs – both being 2500.
Will my printed job look exactly like it does on my computer monitor?
Monitors display colors in a method called “RGB” which stands for “Red, Green, Blue.” This takes those 3 colors and mixes them many ways in order to achieve the colors you want. In printing, the method for mixing colors is called “CMYK” which stands for “Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black.” Therefore, while what you view on your screen will be very close to what your finished product will look like, it will never be exact. If color matching is very important, order a Hard Copy Proof so that you can see how your colors will print.
What kind of proof will I get for my job?
We produce 2 different kinds of proofs. PDF Proofs, (FREE) which are “On Screen,” meaning it would be emailed to you and you would look at it on your monitor. Hard Copy Proofs ($50) are Epson Digital Match Prints, which mimic more closely the finished product color-wise.
I created my files in a program other than the ones indicated on your site. What do I do?
We have export and saving specifications on our site to help you format and save your file properly. Click here.
Do you accept Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word files?
What is a bleed?
A bleed is a printing term meaning that color and print runs off the piece. In order to print with a bleed, we need you to lay out your art so that it goes 1/8” beyond the page margins. All prices on our website include a bleed.
My image is 72dpi. IS that OK?
No. 72 dpi is the resolution used for images on the internet, but when you try to print them, images with only 72 dpi are fuzzy. Print resolution is always 300 dpi.
What’s the best way to send my files to you?
When you log in, you will have the option to “Upload Files.” This is the best method.
How long will it take to get my job?
Turnaround times vary; but in general it takes 4 business days to get a print order shipped, and 6 business days to mail a job.
Why pick PostcardsRUs.com over all the other guys?
Service. At PostcardsRUs.com we pride ourselves on taking care of clients, and they enjoy the experience of working with us. Of course, the fact that we’re a 1-stop-shop also helps matters. Being able to get a job Designed, Printed, Mailing List and Mailed in one place means less headache for you.
What is the "printed by PostcardsRUs.com" on the back of my postcard?
By using your card to spread the word about our services, we save money on marketing; savings that we pass on to you in every job we print. It’s tiny, and unless you’re looking for the printer that printed the job, you would never notice it anyway, so it doesn’t get in the way of your message to your clients. You can request that we do not print it on your card.
Do you offer mailing services?
We do. One deficiency we’ve seen among printers online is the lack of mail services, and we opened our doors to fill that gap and make customers more satisfied. Why should you have to get your job shipped to you and have you handle it? Let us do the work, we’re over-qualified and we’ll never steer you wrong.

In your “My Account” section are listed all the previous jobs you’ve done with us – pick one and click “Reprint.” That’s it – we’ll get you a proof right away, no need for you to re-send us your art. |
